From New York and Fairfield County, travel north on
Merritt Parkway or on I-95 and exit onto Route 25 North. Turn right
onto Route 111, go 3 miles and then right onto Route 110. Travel for
2 miles and turn right onto Walnut Tree Hill Road.
From the Hartford
and New Haven area, travel on the Merritt Parkway south to
Route 34 West. Go 3.5 miles on Route 34 into Derby and turn left onto
Bridge Street. Turn right onto Route 110. After 5 miles, turn left onto

For over one hundred and fifty years, six generations of the Jones family
have farmed their land in the White Hills of Shelton, Connecticut. The
Jones Winery continues the family tradition of growing high quality
crops that celebrate the great bounty of local farmlands. The farm's
vineyard and famous berry harvests allow the winery to create a wonderful
selection of traditional grape wines and specialty fruit wines.
Jamie Jones, the
sixth generation of Jones farmers, planted the beginnings of his vineyard
in 1999 and continues to expand the vineyard each year. A farmer all
his life, Jamie tends to his grapes with much care, knowing that great
wines can only come from a great vineyard. With his fruit wines, Jamie
creates wines that showcase the wonderful taste and aromas of delicious,
sun-ripened berries.
The
Tasting Room
The Tasting Room is located in our 19th century historic dairy barn.
From May through November, the Tasting Room is open every Friday, Saturday
and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. (For our extended hours in during the
Christmas season, please go to our website.)
For a tasting fee
of $5, people can enjoy sampling six of the winery's distinctive wines
and receive a complimentary Jones Winery wine glass. Visitors can also
browse the winery's specialty gift store, full of unique and holiday
items.

The Wine:
- HUNTINGTON
RED
Aged in oak barrels, this special blend of cabernet franc, merlot,
and several other red grapes creates a wonderful medium-bodied, dry
red wine.

RIPTON RED
A dry, medium-bodied red wine in the European Rosso style complements
many types of meals and events, from hearty pasta dishes to grilled
meats.

PINOT GRIS
A dry white wine with hints of citrus and green apples.

STONEWALL WHITE
A dry white wine with hints of citrus and green apples.
- WOODLANDS
WHITE
A unique blend of white grapes produces a refreshingly crisp wine
with a lightly sweet finish.
- DAWN'S
FIRST BLUSH
This pleasingly sweet blush wine has a clean finish. Created from
a blend of apples, pears and black currants, the wine has a wonderful
fruity aroma.
- HARVEST
TIME
This apple and pear wine is delicately sweet with crisp fruit flavors.
Enjoy with appetizers and holiday gatherings.

STRAWBERRY SPLENDOR
Sun-ripened strawberries, harvested from the farm's famous strawberry
fields, create a wonderful wine that captures the distinctive taste
and aroma of the strawberry.

BLUEBERRY BLISS
Fresh blueberries create a semi-sweet, full-bodied wine that can complement
a hearty meal or be enjoyed as an after dinner drink.

RHAPSODY
Sweet and bursting with raspberry flavor, this wine can be enjoyed
as an aperitif or with desserts.

This full bodied wine, with its robust berry taste, ends with a smooth
sweetness.

Unique Offerings:
The Jones Winery is located at the heart of a beautiful 400-acre farm.
When visiting the winery, people can also harvest seasonal crops –
the finest and freshest strawberries, blueberries, pumpkins, squashes
and Christmas trees. The Jones Family Farms is renowned
for our beautiful, well cared for crops as well as our focus on creating
educational and fun agricultural experiences for visitors. Our Harvest
Kitchen will offer cooking classes to show how preparing local
foods in season can be delicious and nutritious. From the beautiful
views to the excellent wines, from the delicious foods to the great
